Expertise: osteoarthritis and osteoporosis exercises, weight management, strength conditioning.
Lara speaks English and Greek.
Lara Alexander is an accredited exercise physiologist, who graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales.
She works with individuals managing chronic health conditions, with experience in osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, osteopaenia, and metabolic conditions such as diabetes. Lara also has a strong interest in supporting people living with chronic pain, recognising the complex interplay between physical and psychological factors.
Alongside her clinical work, Lara is currently completing her doctorate, where she is developing and researching an integrated approach to chronic pain management. Her work combines exercise therapy with psychological frameworks to better support the whole person, rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation. This approach reflects her belief that meaningful, lasting change comes from addressing both the body and mind.
Lara is passionate about being a hands-on clinician and values building strong, collaborative relationships with her clients. At the same time, she enjoys engaging with research and translating evidence into practical, effective interventions. By balancing clinical practice with academic work, she aims to deliver evidence-based and personalised care to all her clients.
