EPC or Extended Primary Care, provides up to five Medicare subsidised sessions of allied healthcare services per year to eligible patients with chronic conditions, when referred by a general practitioner.
Why is there a gap – isn’t EPC free?
It is in the discretion of each clinic whether to charge a gap on top of EPC, which pays $58 each session.
Patients with chronic conditions often have multiple issues contributing their symptoms. Much like a complex legal matter, you want the most experienced, senior legal counsel attending to your case.
We only hire experienced and skilled providers to care for our patients, and spend sufficient time with each person (average 30-45 minutes), not hurrying through appointments, the way we want our own family and loved ones treated.
