Nicole Shaw graduated from the masters of chiropractic at Macquarie University after completing a degree in medical science at the University of Sydney.
Growing up, Nicole observed that many in the community including some in her own family, suffer from musculoskeletal symptoms. This sparked her interests working in the healthcare field.
As a clinician, Nicole believes in the natural healing potential of human body. She is proud to help those in need, and to facilitate the body’s healing response with the aid of chiropractic care.
Committed to providing high quality, evidence-based patient care, Nicole practices with respect to latest scientific research and guidelines. Her particular clinical interests include temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction and low back pain. She is also keen in women’s health and caring for pregnant women, whom commonly present with pre- and post-natal neck pain and low back pain, tenosynovitis and other musculoskeletal dysfunctions related to pregnancy hormones such as relaxin and oestrogen.
Nicole is proficient in a diverse variety of joint mobilisation and adjustment, and soft tissue techniques (including neural mobilisation). She is also certified in dry needling and uses these complementary skills in the care of her patients.
