Polina is a Registered Psychologist with a broad range of experience working with adolescents and adults with complex mental health needs.

A graduate of the University of Sydney, Polina has  been in active practice for 15 years. She is a registered counsellor with Victims Services and also supports clients with Work and Development Orders.

Polina provides assessment and counselling for individuals with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as other issues such as eating disorders, drug and alcohol addiction, gambling, grief and loss, role transitions, performance issues, illness, and chronic pain, and with neurotypical and neurodiverse individuals.

Polina tailors her approach depending on each individual’s needs, and provides client-centred, trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy. The goal of therapy is to offer support, and empower her clients to have the best possible relationship with themselves and others in their life, and for them to engage meaningfully in the world around them.

To this end, Polina underwent further training in trauma-sensitive yoga, an approach to use movement to help clients build a connection between mind and body to facilitate healing, build presence and individual resilience.

Polina offers in-person and telehealth sessions with Australian and international clients. She is experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Inter-Personal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Positive Psychology and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
